Rani Mauliani Appointed as New Vice Chair of Jakarta DPRD

I crown my post to my junior, Rani Mauliani today

The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Plenary Session officially appointed Rani Mauliani as a candidate for Jakarta DPRD Vice Chair to replace Mohamad Taufik, on Tuesday (4/26). The meeting itself was directly led by Taufik.

"I crown my post to my junior, Rani Mauliani today," expressed Taufik.

Despite it being announced in the plenary session, Mauliani has not immediately served as chair of the DPRD. Yet the meeting results would firstly be submitted to Jakarta Governor and then forwarded to the Home Ministry for approval.

Receiving an assignment from her party, she felt it was a mandate that should be done. Therefore, she asked Taufik to continue to provide suggestions and input for her while she was in office.

"For me, Mr. Taufik is a teacher, mentor, and parent. Never be bored to continue to give the best lessons for us," she explained.

They both agreed that it was common to change positions. As party cadres, they were ready to follow the instructions given.

"This is a normal thing so I'm the one leading this meeting. Nothing special, we as politicians must obey the rules," asserted Taufik .
